Good news for Metro commuters!
To facilitate the smooth and fast movement of commuters, Metro Railway will operate additional services at the night of New Year’s Eve in Blue Line. On that day, i.e. 31.12.2025, Metro Railway will operate eight additional services (4 UP & 4 DN) in Blue Line for the convenience of passengers.
These special services will run between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram, with one additional service to be operated up to Dum Dum from Shahid Khudiram. The schedule of the additional services is as follows:
From Dakshineswar towards Shahid Khudiram:
at 21:40 hrs.,21:52 hrs., 22:05 hrs. and 22:18 hrs.
From Shahid Khudiram towards Dakshineswar:
at 21:54 hrs., 22:04 hrs. and 22:17 hrs.
From Shahid Khudiram towards Dum Dum:
at 22:30 hrs.
These eight UP and DN special services will operate after 21:40 hrs. on New Year’s Eve.
Timing of the first service in Blue Line will remain the same on that day.
Normal Metro services will continue to operate in Green Line, Yellow Line, Purple Line and Orange Line on the same day.
