Annual Tolly Pet Party & Vintage – Modern Car Display “Heritage in Motion” Draws Large Crowds at Tollygunge Club

Kolkata, 6 January 2026: The Driving Range at Tollygunge Club came alive on Sunday morning as members and their families gathered in large numbers for the much-awaited Annual Tolly Pet Party, held alongside the Vintage & Modern Marvels Car Display – “Heritage in Motion.” Blessed with pleasant winter weather, the event unfolded in a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere marked by enthusiastic participation, excellent food, and a strong sense of community spirit.
The Tolly Pet Party once again showcased the Club’s deep affection for animals. A delightful variety of pets furry, feathered, and more participated across multiple categories, drawing warm applause from an appreciative audience. Highlights included highly responsive pets, imaginative fancy-dress entries, and heart-warming stories of rescued and adopted animals. The event beautifully reflected the close bond between members and their companions, creating moments of joy, laughter, and shared pride.
Running alongside the pet celebrations, the Vintage & Modern Marvels Car Display offered visitors a captivating journey through automotive history. Over 50 vintage and classic cars, meticulously maintained by Club members, were showcased. Notable exhibits included a 1913 Stower C1, a 1930 Rolls-Royce limousine, Bentley Mark VI, several Morris Minors, a 1987 Land Rover, classic Austin models, and many other beautifully preserved automobiles. Together, these vehicles celebrated craftsmanship, heritage, and the enduring legacy of motoring across generations.
Adding a powerful contemporary contrast was the first-time large-scale inclusion of super and hypercars, which brought a fresh and exciting dimension to the event. Prominent collectors who showcased their modern performance machines included Mr. Parveen Agarwal, presenting a Rolls-Royce Spectre, Ferrari 296 GTS, and Lamborghini Urus; Mr. Aryan Dhanadania, whose collection featured a Lamborghini Huracán, Porsche 718, and BMW M5; and Mr. Sagar Poddar, who displayed a Lamborghini Huracán EVO and BMW Z4.
Further enhancing the spectacle were exceptional entries from Mr. Satyaprakash Kundu, who showcased a Porsche 911, Ferrari Roma Spider, and Ferrari 296 GTS, and Mr. Charitra Sharma, who presented the latest BMW M5 (2025). The presence of these high-performance automobiles generated considerable excitement, particularly among younger automobile enthusiasts and Club members.
The event was held under the leadership of Tollygunge Club President, Mr. Songit Bagrodia, and Club CEO, Brigadier Ganapathy, whose support and vision ensured the seamless execution of the twin showcases. Special appreciation was due to Club member Mr. Billy Bose, who meticulously organised and curated the vintage car display, preserving the spirit of motoring heritage. The supercar segment was brought together by Mr. Siddharth DebGupta, a champion equestrian and passionate supercar enthusiast from the Club, whose efforts played a key role in making the contemporary automotive showcase a resounding success.
Complementing the twin events was a thoughtfully curated food spread, allowing members to relax and enjoy the morning at leisure while soaking in the sights and conversations. The combination of pleasant weather, a wide spectrum of automobiles—from century-old classics to cutting-edge supercars—charming pets, and a strong turnout ensured a memorable and uplifting start to the new year.
The twin events once again reaffirmed Tollygunge Club’s unique ability to seamlessly blend heritage, contemporary interests, and community engagement, fostering an atmosphere of warmth, inclusivity, and shared enjoyment.
