Kolkata, 06 February 2026: Jupiter International Limited, has been conferred the Silver Award under the category “Excellence in Manufacturing Green Energy Technologies – Solar Cell”. The prestigious award was conferred at 6th Green Urja and Energy Efficiency Awards, held as part of the 14th ICC Green Energy Summit.
This marks the third national recognition for Kolkata-headquartered Jupiter International at the Green Urja platform - recognising its leadership in India’s clean energy manufacturing space. Organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the awards recognise companies that are setting benchmarks in sustainability, innovation, and energy efficiency.
Jupiter was recognised for its high-performance solar cell manufacturing capability. The company currently operates a 956 MW high-efficiency PV cell facility in Himachal Pradesh.
The summit gathered industry leaders from the solar, wind, hydro, and emerging energy technology sectors, discussing critical topics like solar PV equipment manufacturing, energy storage solutions, and base load power challenges.
The Green Urja Awards jury lauded Jupiter’s consistent contribution to domestic solar cell manufacturing at scale, calling it a vital pillar in reducing India’s reliance on imported clean energy components.
