39 NGOs, 9 corporates & citizens collectively raised INR 45.68 lakh for social causes
Kolkata, 19th February 2026: The Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, the world’s first World Athletics Gold Label 25K and West Bengal’s largest running festival, celebrated a landmark milestone on Sunday, 21 December 2025. Marking its historic 10th edition, the race brought together over 23,000 runners at the iconic Red Road, uniting them in the spirit of sporting excellence, community welfare, and social responsibility #ADecadeofDifference.
Over the years, Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata has evolved beyond a race into a powerful catalyst for collective giving, proving that when a city runs together, it rises together. Led by Impact360 Foundation, the event’s Philanthropy Partner has consistently expanded its charitable outreach by empowering NGOs, advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and driving meaningful, measurable social impact.
With support from Impact360 Foundation, 39 NGOs, 26+ individual fundraisers, and 9 corporate partners, alongside thousands of generous donors, the 2025 edition successfully raised INR 45.68 lakh for diverse social causes. The fundraising campaigns concluded on 10 January 2026.
Since its inception, the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata has shown a phenomenal influence enabling more than 114 NGOs to spread awareness and raise ₹5.16 Cr for numerous causes, including Health, Environment, Animals, Education, Human Rights, Skill Development, Community Development, Women's Empowerment, Girl-Child Education, child sexual abuse, and Disability.

1. TATA MEDICAL CENTER TRUST, KOLKATA
Fundraised: ₹ 10,14,231 ; Cause category: Healthcare
Tata Medical Center (TMC) is a state-of-the-art cancer care hospital in Kolkata, committed to delivering comprehensive cancer treatment through advanced technology and expert healthcare professionals. The hospital is committed to providing quality and affordable cancer treatment, with nearly 70% of patients receiving care at subsidized costs, particularly supporting underprivileged communities.
To address the growing demand and long waiting lists for specialized treatment, TMC has undertaken its Phase II expansion project to enhance bed capacity and infrastructure of the 437-bed cancer hospital run by the Tata Medical Centre Trust in Kolkata. Funds raised through the event will support this expansion, enabling the hospital to treat more patients and provide timely, life-saving care.
2. CHILDLIFE PRESERVE SHISHUR SEVAY
Fundraised: ₹ 8,02,929; Cause category: Education, Special Children
Childlife Preserve Shishur Sevay, founded in 2006 by Dr. Michelle Harrison, provides inclusive, family-style care for lost and abandoned girls, including those with severe disabilities. A pioneer in disability inclusion, the organisation introduced Tobii eye-tracker technology to help non-verbal children communicate and thrive. Expanding its community impact, Shishur Sevay launched the Children’s Smart Centre in 2020 — an inclusive preschool where former residents, including girls with disabilities, now serve as educators, promoting education, dignity, and holistic community care.
Funds raised through the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata will support Children’s Smart Centre’s “Building of Our Own” initiative, aimed at purchasing its current school property, which is now up for sale. Securing this space will enable CSC to expand its community impact through future initiatives such as launching a Mother-Baby Program, starting remedial and coaching classes, increasing student capacity, and establishing a crèche facility, thereby strengthening early childhood care and inclusive education in the community.
3.DAKSHINI PRAYASH
Fundraised: ₹ 3,96,731 ; Cause category: Education
Dakshini Prayash, founded in 1993, works towards uplifting economically vulnerable families in Madurdaha through holistic education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The organisation supports nearly 300 children with academics, nutrition, healthcare, and sports, while also helping students pursue higher education and become job-ready.
Over the past three decades, Dakshini Prayash has empowered communities through skill training and livelihood opportunities for women, regular health camps, and environmental initiatives such as tree plantation and waste management. The funds raised at TSW25K will support the education, healthcare, and overall development of 25 children for one academic year.

Jhelum’s inspiring journey as an entrepreneur, yoga instructor, endurance runner, cancer survivor, and mother of two truly reflects the spirit of resilience and giving back. Turning her personal experience into purpose, she chose to run the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata 2025 to support Tata Medical Centre, raising awareness and funds for cancer treatment. Overcoming initial hesitation around fundraising, Jhelum’s sincere outreach and powerful storytelling encouraged generous support, demonstrating how personal conviction and small steps can create meaningful social impact.
2.Rakesh Mitra
Fundraised: ₹ 95,001 for New Light
Rakesh Mitra, CFO of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, exemplifies resilience and determination, having overcome significant health challenges while excelling in both his professional and personal pursuits. At the 9th Tata Steel World 25K, he emerged as the highest individual fundraiser, demonstrating his strong commitment to creating meaningful social impact.
Continuing his philanthropic journey, Rakesh supports New Light, a Kolkata-based charitable trust working in the city’s red-light districts to uplift children and families affected by human trafficking, gender-based violence, and poverty. The organisation provides safe shelter, education, healthcare, nutrition, and vocational training to help vulnerable communities rebuild their lives with dignity.
Funds raised will support New Light’s Soma Memorial Girls Home, which provides vulnerable girls with safe shelter, education, healthcare, nutrition, and empowerment, enabling them to build safer, healthier, and more hopeful futures.
3.Roshni Guhathakurta
Fundraised: ₹51,552 for Child Rights & You
Entrepreneur, marathoner, cancer survivor, and mother, Roshni began her Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata fundraising journey with a modest ₹5,000 goal and raised ₹51,000 within a month, proving that collective small contributions create meaningful impact. Born with clubfoot and unable to walk until age four, she went on to complete multiple full and ultra marathons, reflecting her belief that every child has limitless potential with the right support. Supporting CRY – Child Rights and You is deeply personal to her mission of ensuring education, safety, and opportunities for vulnerable children, especially girls.
Funds raised will support CRY’s efforts in providing access to education, safer environments, family empowerment, and ensuring children receive timely vaccinations and proper nutrition through government healthcare services.
4.Adv. Siddhanth Ghosh
Fundraised: ₹51,000 for Rescue and Relief Foundation
Advocate Sidhant Ghosh, a Calcutta High Court lawyer and social activist, founded the Rescue and Relief Foundation (RRF) in 2013 to combat human trafficking and rehabilitate vulnerable children and youth. Over the past 18 months, RRF has rescued 600+ minor girls and helped arrest 80+ traffickers, while providing shelter, legal aid, therapy, education, and skill development for long-term rehabilitation.
In 2024, he launched Opportunity Café, India’s first non-profit café run by intellectually disabled youth, trafficking survivors, and vulnerable young adults, now employing 30 individuals and training many more.
The fundraised at the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, will help to launch Opportunity Café 3.0, creating additional inclusive employment opportunities and empowering vulnerable youth with dignity, skills, and sustainable livelihoods.

For this group, running is not just about distance or pace—it is about creating memories, building lasting bonds, and celebrating the collective spirit of moving forward together.
At the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, the group channeled this spirit into purpose by fundraising for Impact 360 Foundation. The funds raised support livelihood, skill development, and entrepreneurial opportunities for women and youth, turning every kilometre run into meaningful social impact
